Responsibilities:
1. Building faade analysis, detailing and design across a broad range of projects
2. Lead or contribute to the technical / design input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard
3. Project management of large faade projects, effectively manage the time, quality and performance of projects
4. Provide faade engineering advice and designs to architects and clients on buildings projects, prepare project reports for clients summarizing key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes
5. Build relationships with key clients on projects and develop contacts with the faade industry
6. Maintain industry awareness
7. Participate in project technical reviews and other risk management activities
8. Take responsibility for preparation and delivery of tender submissions and presentations
9. Consult with and coordinate activities with architects, engineers, project managers and other disciplines on multiple and complex projects
Requirements:
1.Degree holder or above in structural engineering, mechanical engineering or related majors from a recognized Chinese or Foreign Tertiary Institution
2.Minimum 8 years experience specifically related to facade engineering or faade design
3.Developing a specialist knowledge in areas of facades such as structural glazing and tension structures, material specialist area, building diagnostic and remedial works, primary design work, sustainability consultancy, etc.
4.Ability to independently undertake project analyses, and report on results
5.Good communication and interpersonal skills
6.Keen sense of maintaining high standards
7.Keen understanding of “customer” needs (both internal and external), and the issues which may impact on maintaining effectiveness within a commercial environment
8.Able to effectively manage the team and workload even when demands are significant
